Does any body have any further information on the two Bracchi supposidly coming to the uk next year. Rumour has it that two will be coming over but nobody knows anymore.
Owing to the lack of a gene pool here it would be interesting to know.

Not *nobody* Quite a few people are in the *know* and it is actually 3, possibly 4 planned imports. I am sure the owners will tell you when
they are good and ready :-)

Aaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Leigh, you got them going now!!!!!!!It will be lovely to new Bracchi here. Hope they work and show as Nico and I could do with some tips!

It is great news for the breed isn't it Diane :-)
In the present *climate*, do you think that the Kennel Club will have to rename the Hunt, Point, Retrieve (HPR) Breeds as "Locate", Point, Retrieve (LPR)?
"No Officer, my dogs are not hunting, they are merely "locating" game" ;-)
and do we change the "Hi Loss" command to "Location,Location,Location" :P

Guest, as you are obviously involved enough with dogs to post with such knowledge, why not register and reveal????? :D

Don't talk to me about Bracco's I hate them, could it be because I own Spanish Water Dogs!!
You know I'm only joking I love them really, hope to see some of you rascals at LKA. Unfortunately half the SWD's will not be there due to one having K.C. and the rest not wanting to risk anybody else getting it.
Bye for now.

Thanks for asking Leigh, the training is progressing slowly at the moment, my classes have stopped for the winter so I'm on my own. Not such a bad thing as I am coming up against quite a few problems that need to be solved so it gives me a bit of time to work on them before we go back, and he is responding well.
Out of interest when do they actually stop growing ? He was 3 last week and still seems to be developing, he's now nearly 2 inches over the breed standard & still filling out, and surprise, I think he's got a couple of brain cells at last. Ingrid

If you need any *help*, just ask .. you have my phone number :-)
>>Out of interest when do they actually stop growing
In my experience they stop growing at 2, but carry on filling out and maturing until they are about 4-5 years old. Mentally? Nahhhhh they never grow *old*, that's what we love about them :D As for the braincells, keep them charged up 'cos they have a habit of going *flat* when they most need them

Hi Diane,
did you ever compete against Homstar Bonito ~ Benni?
I just heard that he was involved in a RTA, *hit and run* and that he didn't make it :-(
Leigh

Yes I did. What a shock to hear that.
