HI can anyone help I'v got a 5 month standard poodle that i want to show and she needs clipping I have no experience and no one to teach me I took her to somone locally and she put her in pants but the line across her back is,nt straight I would like to do it myself but lack confidence if thier is anyone out there that would be good enough to spare a little time to teach me I would be very grateful I,m willing to travel a sensible distance I live in Leicestershire

Look in the vets , or yellow pages, or find a local poodle exhibitor. One of the grooming parlours may do them for exhibition and show you how. A local exhibitor will help. You need to go to a show where poodles are and see them, and join a ringcraft club..someone will help.stevie.

Pawla, I have a friend who shows and grooms and breeds poodles. Standard ones. I am sure she would give you a lesson on clipping.. only trouble is she is in Yorkshire. but maybe be worth it if you only have to visit once. If you are interested e mail me and I can let you have details.
