Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / My Girl is feeling better , food advice please .

Following on from my last post regarding my girl not being to well , i am happy to say she is back to her old crazy self :o)

I would just like people's opinions on feeding her , because she had not been very well she had been eating very little & being in whelp has not helped as she went off her food totally , but now she is feeling great & my problem is i just cannot get enough food into her she acts like she is starving but i really don't want to overload her .

I am giving her food pretty much on demand but just smaller meals she is having eggs ( scrambled ) , chicken cooked ( will not eat raw at the minute ) sardines, some veg but really has gone off it , she will eat the natures diet packet food , her dried food sometimes but not as much as i would like , i have also got some wainwrights puppy food to start giving her on week 6 .... is that a good choice of food ?

What i would like to know really is do i just keep feeding her whatever she will eat , as she seems to be playing catch up from the food she has not eaten the last few weeks , & i understand she will come to a point further into the pregnancy where she may not feel like eating much at all ... so i have not got alot of time to try getting some goodness back into her .

She looks really well , even when she was poorly she looked well if you can follow that lol , she will be 6 weeks on saturday & has filled out around her middle quite alot for a girl that has not been eating & that has been scanned and is said to only be carrying one or two pups .

Any help would be great thankyou
Tracey.
