what does this mean???

Sample Receipt Notification
The Blood sample for your dog lola from order simpkin*************** was received at Optigen today.
For most of our tests, turnaround time is approximately 2 weeks. However, recently released tests may take longer.

Thank you!

does this mean that because it has been received today it can take another week or so to get my result?if thats the case im gonna get hooked on the brandy ice and coke ive been having each evening whilst opening the mail.lol

Have had the same message just now, looks like it's another 2 weeks from today then....I thought they were sent off on the 2nd or 3rd, must take a long time to get over there as today is the 12th!

I'm shocked that the blood sample is worth anything if it takes that long to get there?
- By Sunbeams [gb] Date 12.02.10 21:35 UTC
Guess we will have to be patient a little longer!  (I also thought it was the result when I saw the email from them!).

My dog's blood was actually taken on the 29th of Jan....maybe it doesn't go off if it is kept chilled, I don't really know!

I read 'that recently released tests' would mean those DNA tests that have been recently released for DNA testing purposes.
The general ones that have been round for a long time wouldn't be taking as long for those results.

I got results by email this evening which was 9 days after I got the receipt email and was quicker than I'd thought, I wasn't really expecting to get them until next week.

I have had nothing, but I know someone whose blood went off same time with mine, and they had one of their results on Thursday.
