Hi there, just looking for a little advice. My dog was used for stud for the first time yesterday but being his first time he was a little in-experienced and in the end didnt manage to mate her properly, he did finish but unfortunately didnt when he was inside her.

They are coming back today with the bitch and i was just wondering, do you think this time he might be a little bit more clued in on what hes to do?

I had help from a very experienced person who was very good with him but he was just bit over anxious and a little all over the place, and she is coming back again today to help.

He was very good temperament wise and had no problem being assisted and the bitch was great too and stood for him no problem.
I suppsoe im just wondering will it go a little more smoothly this time for him the fact that he had a practice run last night.

It might do - also now you (or whoever assisted the dog) knows better what to expect. You might be able to help hold the 2 together (depending on size of breed!) once he is properly in so that you get the full tie.

A bit grim I know but you might have to guide him in and hold them together until he gets the hang of it so 3 set of hands needed
