Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / Anyone feed Chudleys Classic or Choice?
- By Trialist Date 11.02.10 17:52 UTC
Hi, am looking at the costs for doggy feeding and have been toying with changing to Chudleys Classic or Choice.  Is anyone using either of these and what are your opinions?  I know 2 people who use the Classic and I'm certainly impressed with their dog's coat condition and general fitness.  My crowd are currently on wheat/gluten free but I know they're not intolerant, it's just what they've been raised on - we started off on Burns and sadly have had to decrease in bag price as the doggy numbers have increased!
I still put a lot more thought and effort into what goes into my dogs stomachs than into my own ;-)
Thanks for comments.

I feed my 2 young flatcoats on Classic (the old boy is on senior) and am quite happy with it, they have plenty of energy and look great on it! I know it might not be the best food out there, but it's not the worst either, and with 3 to feed it works out very cost-effective. We also have 2 horses so don't buy expensive dog food, got to cut costs somewhere!

My dogs were fed on Chudleys Working Crunch, and they all did very well on it, and looked great with plenty of energy, it also kept the weight on our Danes.
I go through 1 bag every 5 days, so worked out cheaper for me also.

My boy is fed on Chudleys Classic, it's a pretty good food for the price. He does very well on it :)

Hi, Thanks for these responses.  I've come down from Burns (when 1 and 2 dogs), to AG (3 dogs), to CSJ Lamb and Rice (4 dogs and about to pick up 5th!), but CSJ isn't always easy for me to get, if not going to shows.  What I'm liking about the sound of Chudleys is it's all human grade meat that's used, and no BHAs or GM foods, etc.  I think we'll give it a go once we get towards the end of our current stock.  Bought a 2.5kg of Choice, on offer from local farm feed supply, and the dogs seemed very keen on it!

I feed my dogs on a mixture of chudleys classic and beta puppy (toy breed). Never had a problem with it. Unlike a lot of the cheaper dog foods (from what I have heard) it doesn't make them poo for England, which has to be a good sign.
