Topic Other Boards / Foo / Anyone send post to BFPO?
- By HuskyGal Date 09.02.10 20:42 UTC
My Best friend is with the 3 Rifles BG out in Sangin and I send him a 'Bluey' everyday but as the 14th approaches I know he'll appreciate a red envelope in with the usual blueys! ;-)

Can anyone that uses BFPO tell me what the postage would be?? I'm working during Post office hours and am 'out in the field' so not near one to 'pop in'. So I was wondering if anyone knew what postage I would need then I could just buy a book of stamps.
I know the blueys are free (and the new e-blueys that you can attach photos to are great BTW!) but are envelopes to have postage stamps on or not??

Many thanks to anyone that can advise! :-)

p.s I know I've left it a bit late! (Blueys taking about 2 wks to get to him at worst)

You won't need to pay anything for it to go out there as the BFPO is free up to 2kg's, though not sure if you can just pop it in a letter box or not, though would think you could as you can with the blueys. I have never just sent a card so not sure as I have always sent other things with it so had to actually take it in to the post office.

Thanks Jenny!

I wondered as much. I guess I'm worrying if it was just a jokey card I'd pop it in the post box and hope for the best and it wouldn't really matter if it got there or not, but it's a really nice card and quite special so I really want it to get there. (and not least because he's flagging at the moment and needs a smile!)

I'm sure it would get there. It's no suprise he is flagging a bit they are having it tough out there :( I'm just so relieved my oh has done his stint for a while.
