
Don't panic too much about which way round you have him, very few judges insist on havgin them facing the right way, unless you come under an American judge. We tend to stand our pugs in the direction they are happiest, when you watch a few pug classes you will see that whilst the majority are free standing in teh "right" direction, several will be the other way round. Lots of leeway is made for naughty pug pups too, so concentrate on the basics and keeping him happpy, you don't have ot have him drilled into good behaviour too soon. Lots of people show pugs on the lead/chain sets, but I like the very soft leather sets best. For training I use soft plaited nylon, make sure the neck piece is not too narrow so it can cut in.
