There i was patting myself on the back for the training I had been doing with little miss barker. This afternoom we visited my Mum Let her out for a last wee before coming home ,Mia not mum, a fox shot across the grass followed by Mia who then found a way through the hedge that i thought I had blocked and disappeard next door barking her head off.
No amount of quiet ! or Mia come would work. Eventually as the neighbours were out I climbthrough the hedge over the fence after falling in the hedge as the gardens are different heights and retriever the little devil who was happily sitting on the top of the compost heap shputing. On passing her back over the hedge to my Mum she fell in the hedge and couldn't get up (mum is 83)
Finally I managed to get back with dog under my arm
to help poor Mum back on feet !! Gosh I hope no one saw us in the dark and if the neigbours find footprints all over the flower beds I shall have to come clean.Guess Mia isn't yet trained against distractions then lol

:-D :-D Oh dear, though it's perfectly natural for her to want to chase the fox once the adrenalin is pumping it can be hard to get control again, we've all been there and had times when our dogs ignore us. I'm sure your training and her recall will be back in place tomorrow, just a glitch or rather a Fox. :-) At least you know there is a weak spot in the hedge still.

Hope that your mum was ok. Dogs - you've gotta love em. :-)

Glad you Mum is ok and that you livened up a dull day :-)  Good thing Mia was barking as you might have lost her in the dark LOL they all give us our moments to remember.
