Stupid stupid woman :-(
- By LucyDogs [gb] Date 28.01.10 12:06 UTC
Idiot. She's lucky the pups and bitch didn't all die. :-(
- By Linz13 [gb] Date 28.01.10 12:28 UTC
I am at a loss with what to say!  How selfish can someone be - I'd love a carbon copy of my first dog but this is crazy.
- By goldie [gb] Date 28.01.10 12:33 UTC
I cannot  believe what i have just read, how irresponsible is that.
- By Olive1 Date 28.01.10 12:46 UTC
What a very stupid article to be put in a national paper considering ALL that is going on post Bateson report.
2 steps forward and 10 steps bak as far as educating the public.
- By working_cockers [gb] Date 28.01.10 12:54 UTC
I'm also at a complete loss for words at this, what an utterly irresponsible idiot that woman is. I can't believe that a national newspaper has published this either, I wonder how many other idiots with older dogs it will 'inspire' to go out and let their dogs get pregnant so they can have one that's 'just like her' :-(
- By Carrington Date 28.01.10 12:58 UTC
When I saw people's responses I thought shall I or shan't I, do I want to read it?

Well, I did, and I'm just as cross as everyone else. Arghhhhhhhhh, oh and the woman looks so pleased with herself, does she look pleased. I knew I shouldn't have read it, well to be honest I read some of it, couldn't read it all or I may have exploded.

When will it stop!!!!!
- By toffeecrisp [gb] Date 28.01.10 13:01 UTC
Dear God!!!
Stupid, idiotic, self centered, uncaring woman....how I would love to meet her and tell her exactly what i thought of her...

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
- By minnie mouses [gb] Date 28.01.10 13:03 UTC
What a very stupid woman & irresponsible person to put a dog that age & not know what to do. There are no print able words that i would like to say to that  woman. Why put it in the paper well we know its for the money.
- By Abbeypap [gb] Date 28.01.10 14:11 UTC
Can't add much more than what has already been said, totally irresponsible.
- By Cani1 [gb] Date 28.01.10 14:41 UTC
Totally stupid , irresponsible woman , I was furious when I read the article I had to post a comment on the site!
I also got annoyed when reading the responses , ie- gorgeous puppies please can we have one my daughters would love one!!
Can't say much more as everything else I'm thinking is not printable (ARGHHHHHH)
- By furriefriends Date 28.01.10 16:43 UTC
omg i think you have all said it all already. Hope she doesn't get a feel for it now and do it again
- By Goldmali Date 28.01.10 16:52 UTC
The comments given to the article are the only good thing. And as the pups were 3 weeks old when it was written, I hope she gets an unpleasant surprise when they all start weeing and pooing everywhere very soon, and then get stuck with four or so that she can't sell.
- By Lokis mum [gb] Date 28.01.10 17:59 UTC
I've had to post on her irresponsibility too ....not enough space to say exactly what I felt!
- By helenmd [gb] Date 28.01.10 18:24 UTC
How irresponsible can people be? And to say that pedigree dogs are riddled with health problems and then give no indication that her own bitch has had any health tests-just shows how ignorant she is.
The sad thing is that there are many thousands of stupid people just like her who don't make the papers but are adding daily to the appalling problem of unwanted dogs.
- By NaughtybutNice [gb] Date 28.01.10 18:26 UTC
I cannot even read past the first paragraph.  What an ignorant selfish fool.
- By Brainless [gb] Date 28.01.10 18:40 UTC Edited 28.01.10 18:44 UTC
Well both parents had collie parents so the pups coudl easily inherit CEA, PRA and any other issue in that breed.

HD is in every breed so that is a possible, plus the pups will possibly carry the genes for the health issues of 3 breeds.

Anyone in Border collies want to advise her to get the litter tested for CEA etc?
- By bestdogs Date 28.01.10 19:33 UTC
I had to comment on it too. I think most comments so far are from Champdoggers!  Absolutely disgusting, she should be thoroughly ashamed- not bragging.    I never have thought much of The Mail, only ever buy it if I can't buy my usual paper. I certainly won't be buying it again! Totally irresponsible journalism and totally irresponsible dog ownership.
- By LoisLane Date 28.01.10 20:32 UTC
Vile!!
- By CVL Date 28.01.10 20:37 UTC
What a vile, smug woman!  Yet another reason to avoid the Daily Mail!
- By Polly [gb] Date 28.01.10 22:07 UTC

> Yet another reason to avoid the Daily Mail!

They say the Mail is still fighting the second World War so are we surprised at such irresponsible attitude to breeding? Once upon a time there were lots of dogs which were latch key dogs, they mated and had pups by which ever dog/s got to the bitch. These days there is no excuse to breed from an unhealth tested, older bitch.

Poor dog. Poor puppies.

I tried to leave a comment but the site was not working...
- By Jeff (Moderator) Date 28.01.10 22:18 UTC
If she thought that "pure breeds" were neurotic and full of health problems why did she parade a number of them in front of her bitch!!!
- By Lokis mum [gb] Date 28.01.10 22:25 UTC
Our comments are not going to get published in the Daily Mail, but I would like to bring this woman's irresponsibility to a greater public ....have any of you out there got the expertise to set up a facebook page so that we can all say how stupid she is??? :)
- By Otterhound Date 28.01.10 22:45 UTC
Sorry, I double posted it in General Chat. My blood is boiling. More Labx pups is just what the world DOESN'T need... Maybe she should come to the Pound with me, full of black Labx and Colliex pups. I am sick of people like her.
- By Brainless [gb] Date 28.01.10 22:47 UTC
I know that in USA being a black crossbreed pup is a sure fire death sentence if they get to the pound.
- By Otterhound Date 28.01.10 22:59 UTC
From experience I can say that is true, one of the hardest type to rehome is a black Sprollie/Labx/Heinz57 etc and of course a black Greyhound has no chance. I've still got Finlay a Lab x Pointer x Monkey, I took him from the Pound as a pup and three years on, he is still with me. Pitchblack with only the tiniest bit of white. He's had NOT ONE query and is now the sanctuary dog, hopping about the place and pestering the postman with his tennisball. So this is why I am doubly incensed (sp) by this stupid woman and her *oh look at me, I am great* attitude and every minute of every day dogs die in Pounds, on vets tables or in water buckets. SHAME ON HER!!
- By Goldmali Date 29.01.10 10:22 UTC
I wrote a comment yesterday describing what you SHOULD do with a whelping bitch (which included lining the whelping box with the article in question) but it never appeared, somehow just vanished.
- By Tanya1989 [ir] Date 29.01.10 12:08 UTC
For those of facebook, i have created a group called IRRESPONSIBLE BREEDING with a picture from her article as profile picture if you want to make a comment for all to see
