Hi I am looking for a friend who needs good vet for ovulation test located near Kent, her regular vet doesnt do them. :)

Idexx lab, get your friend to give them a call for the kit, then the vet takes the blood and you post them to Idexx, result the day after. very reliable. good  luck x

Thinking ahead here, I have not used these tests before but always worry about missing ovulation, how do they work?  Do you just get the one test done and they tell you when she will ovulate, or do you need to keep getting her tested until they say she is ready?

They test the progestrone in the blood, i have never used Idexx but most who use our stud dog have, we use our local vet who predicts the days of ovulation, yes you do need to repeat until she is ready, good luck

Kate,

I don't breed but i'm sure there is someone in Sussex that does this, just recalling a conversation i had a with a friend who breeds not too long ago.
