Hi All :-)

I think I'm being a little paranoid/over protective but I can't help it so please be patient with me :-D

I thought I'd read on here last time around that I should exercise my pregnant bitch as normal but should avoid her going into water? Is that correct?

I'm sure there will be lots of other bits & bobs of info I will be asking for as things progress

yes especially this time of year, want to avoid sudden cooling as may cause her to abort/ absorb

thanks for your reply, we can avoid rivers & streams easily.......................what about puddles? most of our walks offleads have puddles somewhere along the way?!

yeah puddles should be ok as long as they arent deep enough for her to be submerged in if she lies down, water is not the problem, its the sudden change in temperature that should be avoided such as full body wetness, hosepipes etc

As others have said especially this time of year and how cold it is I would avoid.  Did take one of mine years ago to a gundog test when she was five weeks pregnant and she loved it and had her biggest litter, but she always loved swimming and this was her last "normal" day that she was allowed to have.
