Got this from a friend with Terriers in Melbourne
I know the Euro folks & UK are freezing under large ammounts of snow, so am sending you some HOT air!!!!  Here in Adelaide SA we have had 39degs C today, with 41 tomorrow (Saturday) & 43 for Sunday & Monday, cooler on Tuesday 26.  How lucky is Francesco
In Melbourne, 34 today, still pretty hot but not sure of Sunday there. We here have a Hot Weather Policy, show is cancelled if over 37. (the old 100F)  So hope it isn't so hot in Melbourne on Sunday for him judging

Agree with that too, with extreme weather conditions its not good for the dogs or the humans.

I have been to an American show which was over 100 degrees and i was wondering why as a spectator i was even standing around watching. Some dogs were left in pens which were in the direct sun... Most it appeared were in fully aircon rv's with their handlers/owners..

Whats with this extreme weather?? Why are some places getting hotter while others are getting colder? I would much rather extreme cold than extreme heat!

bournemouth last year was really hot...
but many places in Australia this is their summer which obviously is more of a hot summer than we get!
I was in Qld Oct 2008 and it was 30 deg then, in spring!

I think it's a sensible idea.  Lots of shows out here in Aus are held outside (the majority of them in fact).  With the heat being as extreme as it is in summertime, I think it's wise.
Currently 43 degrees in parts of South Australia (Adelaide, etc) and currently have an extreme heat warning in place, not far off that temp in Melbourne (Victoria),  Sydney high 20's/low 30's, and  currently 33.2 in the shade in my garden here in Qld!  Phew!
