hi, i was just wondering if anyone had tried any medications from the vets such as selgian for senality in dogs and if it had any effect - my dog has started to randomly sniff and bark at the walls - but often this happens at about 5.30am and im worried about my neighbours complaining so my husband and i have to take turns getting up at that time - the behaviours are worst mornings and evenings - a few hours before feeding times - so times of most excitement for him! - although he will do it at other times too. would feeding him his ration in more smaller meals maybe help???
i would be interested in any ideas, too as maybe my 14year old girl is a little senile, too, will sit and bark /yelp constantly until you break her concentration.Hard to tell though,as she got noisier when we had the new pup 8months ago.Could just be protest!

Had a Rott who was 13 1/2 when we lost her, she was on Aktivate for 18mth+ as she got to the stage of 'lights are on but no-one home' they helped a lot, got them initially from vet but they are not POM so got them from vetmedic later as they charged less.

My old man is on Vivitonin - predominantly because he was having repeated vestibular incidents but I believe it is traditionally for dogs with cognitive dysfunction.
He used to continually whine and that has reduced dramatically since starting the vivitonin. My vet tells me it promotes a sense of well-being - feel like taking them myself! lol
