Important Dog Training Tip

A rolled up newspaper can be an effective training tool when used properly. For instance, use the rolled-up newspaper if your dog chews something or has a housebreaking accident. Take the rolled-up newspaper and hit yourself over the head as you repeat the phrase

"I forgot to watch my dog, I forgot to watch my dog"

If you dog laughs at you while you are doing this, praise him.

LOL !

Couldn't laugh when we went to our local dog training classes tho' and were told to hit the dog with a rolled up newspaper ! Perhaps that's why we found a different class !

We got told to hit the dog with rolled-up newspaper, we tried it once. The dog thought this was a super new game, and started chewing up every bit of paper he could find, no matter what it was! End of experiment! :D

I daren't have paper anywhere near Decoy - he is a bit obsessed with it, he can open the printer paper tray up and remove all of the paper without damaging the printer at all, you only know he's been at it cos there's ripped up computer paper everywhere - If he'd only thought to just consume it all, I'd have been none the wiser and have probably told the kids off for stealing my paper to draw on :D Julie:)

He, Hee,
Don't forget....
What about an electric collar for a memory aid?

And what about a muzzle for the nagging wife/husband (could do with one of those).

can anyone think of any more.............
