my lhasa got best puppy in breed and 1st in group, Is it true he will have a write up in our dog ? it was a open show. The show was on the 27th of dec does any one now when there will be a crituque and when dose our dogs come out? were will it be in the back under lhasa apso or will it come under the show ?

The judge SHOULD send critiques to both dog papers -Our Dogs ad Dog World which both comes out every Friday. In reality some only send to one paper and others don't bother at all. It usually takes a few weeks but can vary enormously from a week or two to a few months. The critique will come under the show heading and then under the breed. There will be several issues with the same show as they are published as each judge sends their report in.  In your case (congratulations!!!) if there was one judge for the breed and a different one for the group you should have two write ups.

The judge has upto a month, from the date of the show, to submit a critique to at least ONE of the weekly dog papers.
Once submitted to the paper, it is up to them when it is printed.
For a general open show I would say 2 to 3 months when the critique may appear(if submitted to both papers)

thank u i guess I'm going to have to buy them weekly and wait to see, i finally found a news again that sells our dogs, be good to read up the other critiques too as i do want to start my own line eventually so be goo to see what other lines critiques are like

Sometimes though critiques never get printed from open shows, depends if your judge sends them in, i have rather a lot that have never been printed, if you are going to get the dog papers weekly it works out cheaper to get them posted to you directly from the respective papers.

Well done! And if you had different judges, it's possible you may get a group write up too - those come less often than the breed ones, but I've had a few. :-)
