Our daughter and her boyfriend who have both been living with us for a year left home today!

A part of me says yippee we are going to be alone with each other for the first time (except when she went to uni) in 36 yrs & the other half of me feels sad, my baby has left home! :(

Well she is 26 so i suppose its about time she left and had a home of her own, but she is the last to go!

So its just me, hubby, the 2 dogs & several guinea pigs to keep us company.

Bliss, well maybe not!

think of how lovely and small(ish) the shopping bill will be now!

They both paid me rent & bought their own food.

My daughter gave me housekeeping, but I noticed a huge decrease in Gas and Electricity consumption when the kids left.  Not to mention grocery bill.

It is nice to be able to use the bathroom when you like, not having to shut the door, not to worry about clothing or lack of, ;)  Maybe being a newly wed is slightly different too, LOL

Treat it as a second honeymoon!!

Oh I don't know, she can now let her hair down, get out the groovy records and have them on full blast, etc ;)

Im getting used to it now. I thought of my daughter & her boyfriend when they used to come in at their usual time, but now i said to my husband ''actually its quite nice not having them here'' and he agreed. I actually feel free! :)
