Has anyone been to see Cirque Du Soleil? They are coming to B'ham on a tour round the UK and I am considering taking my niece who loves shows/theatre/dance the whole thing, she will be 16 in Jan so a birthday present and in June when they are in Brum she will be doing/finished her GCSE's so a "treat for her" she tries very hard and gets good grades.

So anyone been or know anyone who has and what was their opinion please worth seeing?     

We saw part of their performance at the Millennium Dome in 2000 (I cannot believe that it was 10 years ago!!!) - and it was pretty spectacular - the acrobats hanging from the high wires and stilt walkers ....I think there were fire eaters as well - but then I wonder whether they would have been allowed to perform in the Dome - it was a very flambouyant show then, so imagine that it would be good.

I don't know what the prices will be like - obviously it was part of the "Millennium Experience" and now, I can't remember what we paid for that!   It certainly was spectacular though.

Have seen one of their shows in Vegas and it was absolutely spectacular.

I've never been but my Dad is taking me and my boyfriend to see them in B'ham in June. I'm really excited!!!

Yes, saw one of their productions in Florida in May - absolutely awesome and well worth the money.  The theatre there is purpose built and so nice and small so you're really close to all the action but I think it would still work in a larger arena.

You'll/she'll love it, it is spectacular!!! :-) You'll be her favourite Aunt if your not already. :-D

I saw them at the Millennium Dome in 2000 too.  They were brilliant, I had never seen anything like it before. Obviously a different team now, but the production alone makes the show.
