Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / Good home needed for two Siberian Huskie
- By guest [gb] Date 09.10.01 18:07 UTC
I have two Siberian Huskies, one 10 months and one 5 months that I unfortunatley need to rehome due to my partner having just become pregnant.

They are friendly, obedient energetic dogs who need a loving home

Please can you let me know either via this site or on email to PaulMartin999@hotmail.com if you are able to help or know of anyone who can

Thanks

Why on earth would your partner being pregnant mean having to let your dogs go? I have had dogs through pregnancy and my childrens infancy. |You have 7 months or so to rework your routine so that the dogs will hardly notice any change in their lifes routine. There is a good book on Babies and dogs designed for this situation, one of the other listers may know what it is called.

Have you asked the breeder of your dogs about this. Many people seem to think they have "failed" if they have to ask the breeder to take back their dogs, but from my own experience (as a breeder) I know I would be HORRIFIED if I found one of my pups had been rehomed . I am sure that your breeder will be able to help you with this sad problem. Failing that, do you know how to contact your breed club or breed rescue? Repost here if you need more help with this.

Yes I am sure most breeders would help if at all possible, the one stipulation the breeder of my pup made was that, if for some reason I could not keep her, she would be given first refusal.

Agree too tht dogs and babies can go together, although it is much harder work!!! My best friend has just had a baby and her dog coped really well, she made sure he was not left out, butof course everybody's sitution is different.
