Im posting for a friend because she doesnt have a pc.Her bitch went to stud on day 12 a long awaited and planned event .Her bitch stood perfectly and they had a tie( around 10 mins) .She was meant to visit again on day 14 but her dad was rushed in to hospital so all thoughts of visiting the stud were forgotten about.Now on day 20 her sister visited with her male unneutered( bitch wasnt allowed near) but even through the baby gate he was screaming for her and she was snapping and showing her teeth yet she keeps mounting her other girls all day every day so she is starting to think that perhaps she was mated too early,on the other hand she wasnt interested in her sisters dog infact she went nuts if he came near the baby gate.She is confused because until now everything has always been straight forward.Any help on this appreciated.Thanks

In my experience  the bitches will have great fun mounting each other long after they have gone over,a nd males, especially inexperienced ones will be wild for a bitch that has gone over as they have missed their chance, her showing her teeth made that clear.

As to whether the one mating will have covered the right time, without the benefit of having had progesterone tests, who knows, only time will now tell.

She did buy ovulation pads but on the first day she tried them she called me and told me she had a positive reading and she was only on the first week and was bit confused,needless to say she is still getting positive results,we have had a laugh about how unreliable they are!
