Mine will be to lose weight (again!) as my daughter is getting married in Cuba in May. Who makes resolutions and do you manage to keep them?  I have an incentive but do I have the willpower!!! I really really hope so.
Wishing everyone a happy and peaceful New Year
jane

i'd like to loose some weight as well, i lost 2 stone a couple of years ago and have slowly put it back on.
i'd also like to make more effort to dress in a bit more tidy way. it's so easy to not bother when you spend you days walking dogs and cleaning up after them.

Yep the weight again, cant go on like this I am putting myself at risk health wise. Bear I know what you mean about dressing tider but am at aloss if you have doggies and then housestuff to do. Feel like a fiftys housewife if I got changed before oh came home LOl

Mines to loose weight, i lost 2 stone for my daughters wedding 3 yrs ago and gradually i have put it all on again, so if i can do it once i can do it again, only trouble is for christmas i had 2 boxes of chocolates & a nice box of biscuits. Weight watches would tell me to throw them away, but i can't do that it would be rude. ;)

Also i have not got anything to aim for this time so its going to be hard! still i can only try.

Every year I say Im going to lose weight. Weight watchers is always rammed full in January which is annoying for those of us who actually go every week. Im back at WW tomorrow and Im going to get myself a goal of 1 pound a week. Thats 52 pound a year at the end of the day!

I have not had to much to laugh about lately but that did make me chuckle, so thanks for brightening my day. :-)

Mine would also be to lose weight, it's just so hard getting motivated especially when so much else goes on in our busy everyday lives, and for me ( like so many others) food is sometimes a great comfort when things go wrong or if I am stressed.
I know what and how to do it but it is never ever easy.
I bought a wonderful game for the wii but after a few weeks lost focus, I must get more determination!

The way i lost weight last time was to eat normally but i cut out sweets, cakes & biscuits, as you can tell im a sweetaholic so its going to be difficult. The first 3 weeks were the hardest for me...the trouble is im a nibbler! But if i was in a sweet mood i would eat a fruit yogurt instead, sometimes i would eat three a day if the urge for sweet things were strong.

So January 2nd i start, it never works for me on January 1st i don't know why!

I have also got to go back to walking everywhere instead of taking the car, my car has made me lazy! :(

So what is everyones plan to loose weight?

Mine is to stop smoking in 2010 - maybe not jan 1st tho lol!

I'm also going to get my house sorted, be more organised and spend as much time as I can enjoying my family, dogs and the beautiful forest I live in!

Ditto.. Again though not going to put a date to it, that is too much pressure on ones self.

Mine is to think before I moan about  things, especially to my hubby (not sure how long that will last!!) Brought home to me by a recent incident, a friend who was in our previous profession retired and took on a little job waiting for his wife (same profession) to retire. She did, they went away on a cruise to celebrate and he passed away from a perforated ulcer. All of this within 2 weeks.
Sorry, I know it's not a happy story but it's not been a good year for many of us and I think we should live life to the full and regret nothing, appreciate what wonderful dogs we have and celebrate our true friends and relations.
Here's to a great 2010.

Mine is to lose weight too, but I intend to do it by cutting back and excercising more (look out dogs, you may end up having the legs walked off you by the end of the year!)

Unfortunately I've piled on the weight by packing in the fags, turning 40 and becoming content with my lovely hubby.

I'd also like to get Warro through his KCGC Gold, though I never seem to do any training with him at the club as I always do the brews and take the money etc etc.  This year I'll make more of a concerted effort to do more training at home.

Don't make resolutions to do things as such.....because I don't stick to them  however I will resolve to

*Smile more
*And to say Yes when my first thought would be No......(should make life interesting)

2008/2009 have been my worst years ever and I am not young anymore, so that's saying something. I have no idea how I made it through it but I aged at least 10 years in that time. However, since the end of December things have picked up considerably and I am now enjoying a new lease on life. So my resolution for the New Year is to live life to the fullest, don't dwell on the past and enjoy every single day anew. Life is good!!

Oh, and I also plan to maybe join the show dog crowd with my newest member of the pack, so stay tuned, I may yet regal you with all my show ring disasters ;).

I wish you all the best of luck in all your endeavours in the New Year!!

1) To loose weight
2) To quit smoking
3) To let go of things I cant change, and do something about the things I can
4) Pay off my debts

Just stood on the scales and have managed to gain 11 pounds over the last couple of weeks since I stopped counting points!!!!

That will take the next two months to get back to starting point again.
- By Dogz Date 01.01.10 11:22 UTC
Mine is my weight issues, from today I am making sure I stick to eating only at mealtimes. That is to be the starting point......a few days in before I decide what next.
Last year wasn't the best with a housefire and having to undergo opertions and anti-biotics that cant be good for my health ...there is an irony in that somewhere. So looking forward to an easier time.

Karen :)

Ive lost 3 stone 10 lbs since getting my head in gear I have two resolutions 1 . Keep going to my goal weight 2. To be who I want to be not who I have ended up being.
I guess Im saying now I want to choose my weight, clothes and what i am, not settle for where I find myself today.
