I was in my car last night collecting my son from work when a husky trotted past the car.I looked for the owner....none around so I tried to entice him to me with the hope of taking him to local kennels/rspca but he was having none of it.I hoped that he would find hi sway home but at 4.30 am I was back at work driving my bus and saw him again still running loose.
If there is anyone who is a member of a husky forum ,doglost etc can you please cross post this......It was a grey and white husky who looked to be show type .He was sighted both times in Oldham town centre
Hope he finds his way home.....feel so bad I couldn't catch him.He looked so frightened.

I'd email doglost direct as they might ask you some questions that we couldn't answer, not hard to join if needed before allowed to post not sure how it works, they might even have a phone number or give you some numbers to ring for advice

Its a long shot but an Alaskan Malamute has just been logged on dog lost. From the south but could have been stolen and moved?
I can't post on it as not registered and hubby calling me to go out.
Maybe you could look at the pic and see?

A few months ago a husky/malamute wandered in my front door at home. Collar on but no tag or chip.  She was gorgeous and a wonderful temperament.  I called the dog warden after walking round with her a while and finding no one looking for her.  She was never claimed and put up for adoption a couple of weeks later.  We have 6ft fencing all round the garden and she would of got out given the chance.

I hope this dog is picked up and is claimed before any accidents happen to him/her

Not unusual story as these crosses are bred for the 'Snow Dogs' hype buyers

One of my puppy owners (well they have just turned three) has a Husky/Malamute bitch cross, friends had bought her and couldn't cope once she reached adolescence, and she has had her for about 18 months.

She sent me some photos, so must update the litters page.

As I have said before one of my fosters was an Elkhound/Husky.

Trouble is the people who buy them don't know enough (or they wouldn't' be going for a cross of these breeds) and the producers of them do not point out anything negative as regards as purely sedentary pet ownership.
