Sorry that you are having a hard time with them, hope your flu is starting to get better. :-)

So much for the hard work starts when pups are up on there feet!

I have not had much sleep like you in past 12 days, mum won't stay with pups unless we sit next to whelping box, my husband has been helping me out by sitting there after work letting me lay down on the bed, but he is also only getting 5 - 6 hours. I am finding it hard to nod off during the day, but am so sleepy by about 1pm.

Love Lois x

Should just add have you been giving pups belly rubs? before and after milk/food. Use some cooled boiled water to body temp and cotton wool.

I have a pup aged 27 days and I have only seen ONE poo from him since he was born -his mum is that good at cleaning up! I only caught one today when mum was out for a short walk with my daughter. :)

I always put the milk in with their food.  I fidn they splutter too much with it as it is until they are much older.

I've read somewhere on here... Cant find it now... make up some whelpi for the pup's to encourage them to lap... I'm sure someone will mention if i'm wrong...but i'm sure they will lap that at first a lot easier than water.

My pups loved made up whelpi and won't touch water- just stick nose in it and run away like a bolt lol. They are taking longer time to wean as they don't really want to lap puppy food nixed with whelpi lol. My 5pups are 4weeks old and have hardly ever seen them poo. Only seem around 2poos from each of them. Mum is great with cleaning up. I wouldn't worry about them unless they are showing signs of illess or constipation
