just ask for my friend ,does anyone know a reputable  Veterinary Dermatology expert near/around York? she has taken her dog to several Veterinary practises but without any diagnosed result? itching skin problem

Through a friend i recall someone mentioning something about one in Cambridge.. Not near but heard they were the best and they would drive from the west country to see this woman..Don't ask me what the place is called as i don't have a clue..

I am waiting for my vets to refer my dog a dermatologist & I am in York. However, my dog had the York Test done earlier this year & she is allergic to lots of things now she has monthly jabs to aleviate the problem.

Sue Paterson is not too far away, being in St Helens. I think she only sees referrals, but was introduced to me many years ago as one of Europe's leading dermatologists. I can highly recommend her from first hand experience.

Trying to get in touch with my friend, can't say how quick its going to be, so going to Google it and see what i come up with..

The other thing is that the vet your friend goes to should have a list of specialists in each field and a number of them in surrounding counties too.

another vote for sue patterson she is fab.  she treated my friends dog for allergies.

White Cross Vets in Guiseley (just near Leeds / Bradford airport - Maybe an hour or so from York?) have a skin specialist called Craig.

I saw him for my DDB's skin problems after going through several vets getting no answers. He's fantastic and can highly recommend him.
