i got up early to get to guildford show to judge the fcr today only 8 miles away from my house.
the road where very icey
lucky  i got a 4by4 to get me there, once there the tennis courts where the outside ring where aquapline area.the roads and paths into the sport centre where so dangouse.
one poor old sol fell broke her arm.
i should have started judging at 9.30 but had to wait for a free ring as we couldnt go out side.then someone found shelter under the sport center out side so we had our rings out there,i noticed someone looking at me from out side the ring it was kay from scotland she got down to surrey ok and it was nice to put a face to someone from champdogs,
hope to got home safely,

Nice to know she got there safely.  Fingers crossed she has a smooth and safe journey home.  That's dedication...all that way in this weather!!

We call this particular show...'The Snow Show' as it is very often delayed for snow or ice and one year we drove through Hindhead in a winter wonderland scene. The thick snow and icicles hanging from the trees were breathtaking.

Couldn't make it this year because I was judging elsewhere....shame I like it especially the Christmas hamper raffle.

Is there a website for this show where i can see the results?

I too met Kay - what a lady trekking all that way!!!  Woking and Guildford weren't too bad but I was still surprised at the lack of grit on main roads - in sussex we had quite a bit of snow for us - 7inches in places and even today no grit!

Hope she got home ok - as everything was just icing over!

So nice to put a face to the mad lab lady from Scotland :)

Terri did you stay for BIS who got it?

Didn't fair in the AVNSC (no AV gundog classes!) but Jess won her handling class with a very polished performance - her Dad was watching and was very impressed - the judge told her it was a perfect performance :)  Lovely to see some new beginners in handling too.

BIS was a lovely black Cocker Spaniel and RBIS was the Beagle and BPIS was Italian Spin and RBPIS was a Miniature Schnauzer! BVIS was a Beagle aswell! :)

NOT ALL OF IT
- By MADDOG [gb] Date 21.12.09 18:39 UTC
Sue, there's a website, but it's not updated yet.

www.guildforddcs.co.uk

Think it only gives BIS/RBIS BPIS/RPIS so not whole results.

I had a good day.  sorry I didn't say goodby Terri, had to go to my neice's 18th.

Just getting back to normal now lol... what a hectic weekend, but a super one..

Terri must be the only person I know, who can be in her ring, beginning her judging.. turn around, see me.. ask.. Kay?  I say yes, and she come flying out of the ring, gives me a great bit hug, goes back into her ring for judging lol...

I was originally supposed to be judging outside starting at 10am, but as Terri stated, the whole place was and icerink, we finally had a ring set up for the Labs in the basement, and I think I started judging around 12.30 ish.. The committee were wonderful.. so many setbacks because of the weather (and gritters not turning up) but pulled out all the stops and kept everything running as smoothly as they could..

It was lovely to meet Rachel also.. and well done Jessica for your 1st placing in the JH Class..

A fantastic drive down but a pretty hairy scary drive home.. (I wonder if stamp collecting is less traumatic lol)

The full results of the day are up
