Hi
One of my pups (largest/strongest) is swollen on his neck and around his ears. He is still feeding really well. They are now 11 days old.
Im taking him to the vet in a few hrs but was wondering if anyone had experience of this, I was thinking strangles but wasnt sure if he was still too young. He was one of the pups that had a swollen eye at 3 days and had synulox and it cleared up.
Any advice would be appreciated.

no advice but hope he is ok .
strangles was my first thought as the glands become swollen maybe connected to the eye infection poor pup ..lets know how you get on.
i too carnt give advise on this as never had a pup with it ,but hope he is ok ,how did you get on at vets daielle? x
i thought strangles was from 3weeks on? never read any pup getting it earlyer!
Hi
The vet gave him an injection to try and help his glands to go down. I have to take him back tomorrow, he said it wasnt strangles as he is too young.
He commented on how big he was and said its good that he is feeding well and is content.
glad to hear its not that!!!! bless him hope injection works .was it AB jab? xx
His glands have gone down (thank god!!) Yes it was AB jab.

Aww thats good news :)

You must be so relieved - glad that the jab seems to be doing the job. :-)
Well cant believe it, got back from vets with pups at 6pm. He gave the pup which had the swollen glands a follow up jab, checked all the others and all well.
Just fed them and now the lil one has a swollen gland on one side of her face so have had to call the out of hours vet and Im waiting for a call back. She is fine in herself and has just took 20ml feed.
It must have something to do with their eye infection as it is the same two!!

on no .. this may be off the wall but wonder if she is allergic to the milk and it a kind of reaction??

Poor you! Bet you're starting to look like a zombie! :-(
Let us all know what the vet thinks about it.
lil one had jab this morning and is fine, still eating well. Other pup is fine too but vet thinks its because they never got any colostrum off mum so their immune system isnt that strong.

Fingers crossed now then! :-)
Hope things continue to improve for you.
