Lots and lots has fallen here over night..

The funniest thing has to be the Lab barking at the outside din this morning, obvio9usly looked very different and he wouldn't step outside onto the snow either - wussy boy

No 1 son just home from work in South Essex - snowing hard still.   Gritters were out on the main roads, but it was bad.  It's taken him 2 hours to drive a journey that normally takes 1 hour.  Said it was ok - just slow going - until he got onto the island - then he nearly parked in a ditch, and then sideways on, in the back of someone's car on their drive!

Dogs are turning into Snow Dogs - especially His Thorship!!

Snowing at the seaside, quite a covering.

My old girl was side-ways surfing along the snow at 30mph.......up her nose, in her eyes...she was loving it!!

All the little ones had snow earrings :-)

oh got called into work 2 hours early today to gritt everywhere then he just rang his boss to make sure he was going to be payed for it and was tols NO BUT HE CAN GO HOME AN HOUR EARLY,
still means they get a free hours work out of him while making themselfs look good for getting the gritting done and all at the hard labour of staff they abuse , Thats the lovley Southwark council for you,
as you can imagine OH aint none to happy right now , hes been out their since 6am shoveling grit in the freezing cold and thats they way they treat him, its disgusting,

Chelzeagirl, that's really bad form on behalf of your OH's employer but say a big thank you from us all for a job well done. Had a call from daughter last night who had to pull over on M25 as the car had a mind of it's own. I had to text her advice as to what to do whilst updating hubby on his mobile as he was going to meet her to follow her home, I felt like traffic control. Thankfully by 12.30pm they were all home safe and sound.
My problem is 16 legs that have snowballs hanging from them and a pup who has decided he will go out to play in the snow but doesn't want to mark it with his business, he appears to much prefer the hall!!!!!
Keep safe everyone.

Ahhhwww Bless him lol

will pass your message on to OH ,

i wish we had gotten some REAL snow like in Feb, it was so much fun playing in it sadly nothing but slush around here, but the Suns out now to dry it all up its just bitterly cold,

i was listening to LBC late last night and people were ringing from all over the place saying how it was snowing heavy it did seem to be  getting closer but all we got was a blizard of sleat and alot of wind i thought one of our trees was going to come out of the ground at one point the way it was swaying in the wind,

also my sons schools head teacher called at 8.30 last night to tell us that school would be closed today because of the snow warnings :-O ,
What snow i now want to ask cause we didnt get none thats No fair!! lol

I can sympathise there. I have a pup who has only started going out for walks this week. Didn't want her to get too cold so carried her out to the field under my coat, let her run around with the big ones for 10 mins, put her back in my coat and came home. Put her down she did a massive yawn, piddled on the carpet and took herself off to bed!!!

Snowed in Manchester yesterday at 4.00 for 10 mins, was quite thick and furious then that was it.  But for once it is still on the ground almost 24 hours later.  Supposedly Manchester's going to be one of the coldest places in the UK tonight.

Loads down here in Kent.  It feels weird packing T.shirts and shorts with six inches of snow outside.
