Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / Tracing breeder of yellow Labrador

Can anyone help? We are trying to trace the breeder of a yellow Labrador dog bought at the age of about 13 months from a rescue centre in Nottingham but originally bred we think, in Rotherham - d.o.b. 20/5/92 and registered as Bessemer Brigand. If anyone has any clue as to where we can look, please email me at cathryn carolan@msn.com

Thankyou

I wonder why you want to know this,if you got him or her from a rescue you are not allowed papers as rescue dogs are not for breeding from.
Or is it you are notifying the breeder out of curtesy?

Hi there -

Thanks for your reply. It is out of courtesy/curiosity that we're enquiring. The dog was neutered just after my parents in law bought him, so there's no intention of breeding from him!!!! Sam, as he's now known is doing really well - he's settled and is very happy. It would be nice to let the breeder know and perhaps send some pictures and see pictures of Sam's siblings. (This has all come about because we have recently decided that we're planning to buy a lab next spring/summer as a family pet and we had mentioned to our perents about breeders on the internet and they were wondering if through that we could find out about Sam's heritage). Hope that answers your questions.
Cathryn.
