On thursday my bitch lady had her show (a clear mucus) she is at day 59 of her pregnancy, I have been takin her temp each day for the past few days (since thursme day) her normal temp is usually about 100.4 - 100.9 and was until yesterday @ 6pm when it dropped to 94 @ 9pm last night it was 95 today at 10am its @ 93.2, she hasnt let me take it since... she has been sleeping most of the day doesnt want to do alot.... she has also started to shiver in the last 10 mins, she has eaten a little today, Any advice on when to expect the little one's ???? thankyou

sounds as though things could start happening soon, keep a close eye on her, let her sleep when she wants, be with her 24/7 and be with her when she goes in the garden :)

thankyou all, im sooo stressed but excited also worried at the same time wow i wasnt this bad when i had my own children lol, Ive been sleeping downstairs with her on a mattress since thursday night, Today is really strange though because the old dog Dexta seems to b the one pacing about (mind you she did try and eat him this morning) Does every bitch tend to pant before there about to give birth?!?! as she seems to do everything but that?!?!

panting is a sign of things moving on, make sure she has plenty of fresh water, the panting is her natural way of dealing with pain / movement / contractions you will normally see contractions as her body will tighten up in the ab area, make sure you have pen and pad one with vets phone number just incase and also to record the time of each puppy :)

Thankyou, she is drinking alot and is urinating alot aswell, seems a little uncomfortable now, ive got a pen and pad ready with numbers, ladys vet has been fantastic through out this pregnancy,I just hope it goes smoothly x

thankyou white lilly, well nothing much happened over the course of the night, she paced around a bit and has been digging, this morning hardly touched her breakfast but im going to leave some dry dog food out just incase she does get hungry, thats if the Dexta dont eat it before hes a beagle so is very michevoius and eats anything lol, but he looks very conserned about her .... It's sweet she has her home in the kitchen at the moment near the radiator and the old boy keeps going in to check on her then comes back and looks at us as if to say please help her, she has hardly sociolised the last day or so has just stayed in her whelping box she came n had a cuddle for about 5 minutes this morning before disapearing back to her whelping box i think Dexta is fed up because his partner in crime wont play lol

god help my kids when they have children
Ah but they'll have an experienced midwife with them so that won't be a problem. :)

is there any news yet? If not I would get a vet to come and check her over and also would be wise for you to keep your other dog away from the area you have the whelping box, although they probably get on like a house on fire it may be stressing her out having him near and could delay labour.
