Sorry to hear you have 2 poorly woofs, I hope the tabs help your old boy, draining doesn't sound nice. £62 doesn't seem bad at all for 2 lots of AB's, I had to take Daisy in a month or so ago for a weepy eye, they thought it might be entropia (sp), but gave some eye cream to try first, went back a week later for a follow up and another tube of cream - and they charged the same price again. My old vets didn't charge for follow up consultations, so it was a bit of a shock, think it came to about £85 in total.
Sausages are good for tablets, I'm sure mine would prefer it if I went down this route, but my eldest is a sly one. She manages to swallow the sausage/ham/chicken etc, whilst spitting the tablet out of the other side of her mouth! I've managed to get around this with a tube of squeezy cheese (primula), I coat the tablet in said cheese, and put another dollop on my middle finger - they then get the tablet, but swallow it really quickly as they're intent on also licking the extra cheese off the finger. OH hasn't quite got the routine down yet, so we end up with soggy tablets and very happy dogs.
