Has anyone ant experience of tuffies dog beds , i have been given one and decided to clean it ,looked on the tuffies website and it says clean with fairy liquid and hose down , well i did that and it seems to have seeped thru  the cover and the filling is wet at each end , are they supposed to be waterproof ?

must be a fault somewhere as it def shouldnt leak. I have 3 of them and pressure wash them weekly without any leaks.

I have had tuffies for a number of years and they have been washed sooooo many times I have lost count, never had the covers leak.

Hi Newfienook

Do you have the wipe clean version?  These are def OK with a hose, I've washed mine that way.  I also had reason to unpick one recently (wrong size so I did a few adjustments!).  It was stitched very tightly with strong thread and on the section of external stitching, after filling, it was glued and sewn.  I wouldn't trust the seams with immersion in water or prolonged soaking but a quick blast with a hose shouldn't have caused a problem.

The woven variety don't seem as waterproof but they certainly advertise them as OK for hosing.

Either way it seems that yours have failed you.  Their site certainly makes a big feature of the waterproof qualities so ring Tuffies and see what they say, perhaps they have a fault.  Good luck

Same as above, I hose mine down weekly, and we have had them for 3 years without any water getting through.

Did you ring Tuffies to see if it was a fault?  What did they say?
