ive got myself into a correspondance war with a guy who emailed earlier wanting a puppy. The email didnt reveal his location until I started asking questions when it turned out he was in israel. I have no intention of sending a puppy to him for several other reasons, mainly his attutude to be questioned......but im curious to know if anyone here has any experience of dog ownership in israel as Id like to have a bit of knowledge about it in preparation for his next angry email :)

Interesting that it's your breed that he's looking at--ask him why/what he intends to do with the dog and see what kind of answer you get.

Sam, I feel they treat the dogs very similar to here in Greece...used as the Guards dog, tied up all days and only fed when remember! Animal care here is something else...at the moment 2 sheeps one lambs in field next to me both sheeps are lame and I don't know what to do about it? very sad...

like i said.....im not selling him a pup so I really dont care about his intentions etc.......just curious if anyone knows the dog scene in israel. nan re your sheep,  thats really nothing to worry about as in every flock there are lame ones here in uk and every other country in the world where ive worked with sheep!!

I realise you wouldn't sell him a pup--just curious as to what he might say, because my impression of a dog's life having lived in that part of the world for many years was not great, with the notable exception of the saluki
