Tabbands.  Wouldn't use anything else.

what do tabbands look like? where can i look for them plz :) are thay the same as the 1s out of whelping kits ?

ebay sell them or you can get them from tabbands.com i think. they look like paper, but they are a fabric type which dont tear. you can cut them length ways to make 2 or even 3 if youve got a steady hand

yep i use them too.and i also cut them into twos lol.
i remember spending hours shopping for silk ribbon in the different colours  wanted.
got them home cut them to size made a cuppa after my shopping sat down and panicked....what if it got tight what if pup got stuck or bella pulled it they'd choke.

took off the designer rubbish and havene looked back ;-)

And, if they are the "original" tabbands, you can actually write on them.  Although I have different colours, I once had a larger than normal Yorkie litter.  So, to make it foolproof, when I doubled up on a colour, I made sure that it was a boy and girl with the same colour. 

I thought that the new puppy owners would at least know it was the same pup when they came to collect.  As one lady chose her new pups name when she chose the pup, I wrote her name on her collar.  It was still readable on the day that she was collected.

I don't think ebay has the original Tabbands, just a copycat variety.  Tabbands are american.

Hi, no they are not the original tabbands!

ebay sells the Tyvek brand that is what I used on my litter earlier this year I also brought these they were fab and washable.
