Aw.....I am really sorry to hear this. RIP Maggie Jones.

She was one of their best actors ....I for one will miss her .she had such a sense of timing too.
Good-bye dear funny lady.
Very sorry to hear this, I loved her in corrie, she will be missed. R I P. Maggie.a wonderful actress

Really sad. She has been in it for years. We are big Corrie fans and my kids were upset at this news. The characters in soaps seem like our family don't they?

Completely in agreement - one of the best! So funny and feisty! Bye "Blanche" - thanks for all the laughs.
Her scenes with Simon were always great. especially the Postman Pat one:
"Like Postman Pat, do you? So long as you remember it's a work of fiction.... 'Early in the morning, when the day is dawning' ... Your real Postman Pat rolls up around noon wearing a pair of shorts and his breakfast. And, if he's not chucking elastic bands like confetti, he'll be rifling through your birthday cards for ready cash, or leaving your valuables out on the step. Nowt but propaganda, is this. And as for Mrs Goggins, she'll be cowering behind three-inch glass with a baseball bat under the counter, assuming that her post office hasn't been shut down, of course."
Brilliant.
Thanks for reminding me of that Bostontea. It was soooo funny when she came out with that. A classic. She will be missed for sure.
Her passing is very sad, she was such a believable character what fantastic casting it was when she came in as Deirdre's mother, you could almost believe that she really was her mother. :-) I would expect Anne will miss her very much, she has not spoken of her yet, (that I have seen or heard) maybe she is too upset, they were a brilliant double act, along with Bill Roache.
Farewell grumpy old Blanche you made me laugh many a time.
A brilliant actress who will be missed by many. I liked Antony Cotton's tribute - "She was sharper than a velociraptor with a flick-knife ".
