Turned the TV on to find one of those teleshopping channels on. I would usually turn straight over but they were showing a steam mop and they look amazing! Just wondering if any ones got one? I've got laminate and slate floors in every room as I suffer from asthma and find carpets make it much worse so am forever mopping the floors and they take ages to dry. I'm also having to mop more and more at the moment thanks to the dogs bringing so much mud in the house after being out in the garden. The one I saw was quite expensive but after googling them it seems you can get one from £25 up - is it worth the money? x

I went to the Good Food Show in Birmingham yesterday and they were demonstrating the ones that are on tv. I also wanted one as I have laminate floors and tiled floors. Anyway I took the plunge and bought one. I havent used it yet but as soon as I do I will let you know what its like.

I bought one for £30 to start with, from a catalogue, it was rubbish!  Then saw one being demonstrated at a game fair, £60, bought that one, and it is brilliant, wouldn't be without it!  Just cleans the laminate floor and the tiles no problems, and doesn't leave the floor soaking wet for ages like normal mopping does!

Have used it properly today. It is so much easier than using a mop and does the job just as well plus it doesnt take ages to dry. I would recommend it.

Rather buy a steam cleaner for £60.  Did have one of the mops but it was rubbish.

Steam cleaner for me too.  So many other uses. :)
