I posted awhile ago regarding people using our local park to walk bitches in season, well, we met another one!
A huge Akita (sp) Mason was obviously interested but kept his distance as she was so big. We walked in the opposite direction to them and all seemed fine, until she was spooked by a loud bang and she bolted for the open gate to the main road. Mason saw her run and ran too. I panicked, gave one almighty call of his name and he turned around without hesitating and came back.
I am so proud right now I could burst! oh doesn't see what all the fuss is about, he says "well, isn't that what you trained him for" Doh!

Just thought I'd share my joy!

Ahh! :-D  I can see why you're so proud, not every red blooded male would turn their back on a frisky female offering everything on a plate ;)  and a dog has even less reason to forsake her - for a mere human :-D

Well Done Mason!  (and Masonsmum :-D )

It's quite often the little things in life that mean the most, lol.

My chows have very intermittant recall and that is just calling them in from the garden! When I go to fetch the ring leader in he waits till I get all the way down to him and then instantly goes for a pee in front of me all the while giving me a contemptuous look that says, 'can't I have a bit of privacy here?'  Other times he comes bounding over first time and I'm so proud of him that I give him a big hug.
