where does everyone get cheap towels from? i keep looking online but i forgot how expensive towels actually are!

I just ask my relatives for their old towels (I assume that you mean towels for dogs :) :) )

Primark....but most of my dog towels are old ones that friends/family wanted rid of.

Charity shops

Face towels from wilko are 25p each, they are fine for just drying pups off, then can be thrown away, are a good size for most breeds.

thats what ive got ,12 of them and will bin them aftre :)

I'm with West Coast on this one, charity shops struggle to sell towels and bedding so are only too pleased to unload it onto 'doggy' people

I get mine from Asda, in the "Smart Price " range.  They are thinnish, which I like best for drying pups, so you can feel the pup.  Hand towels cost about .60p, I think.  I get about 4 or 6 new ones for each litter, tried face cloth size but too small.  I then put them in on a hot wash after the pups have used them, and then use them in the dog's bath room.  don't like using older towel, as they can have unexpected pulled threads which can catch at the wrong moment.

Asda here too for face cloths and hand towels. Just the cheap ones though

Asda is just fab, takes us about 35mins to get to it but is always worth it

i use face cloths/flannel from my airing cupboard.when ive used all them its an excuse to buy new bathroom stuff lol no,seriously i have bought from the local rspca charity shop,and ive been to wilkinson.....they have them in baskets and sometimes on the shelf in a bundle of 5 for 25p.i buy loads when theyre on the shelf i use them to wash my dogs faces :-)

i got some nice bath towls from ikea 79p each

I use some old terry towel nappies which I bought years ago when I had my son but never used them. They came in a pack of ten. I wash after use and pop them away for next time. The odd few have been chucked away as they dont all come up clean again. I find they are just the right size.

I get my hand towels from either the £1 shop or Wilkinsons. I think they were doing 3 towels for £1.99 the last time I went in there.

I used to work for Lever Bros (Persil, Surf etc) and was told that items washed in biological products at 40 degrees are as hygienically clean as boiling. :)  But don't use biological products above 60 degrees or you destroy the enzymes.

We still use the nappies that my mum had for my brother and I so some are over 40 years  old!

ikea sell guest towel for 69p , ideal as bigger than a face cloth but slighty smaller than an hand towel.   or get a pack of terry nappies off ebay , think i paid around £7 for a dozen

Have you looked in charity shops?

Asda ,Tesco and Primark are the places that I have bought cheap towels from.

Charity shops!  Ok, you might end up hanging some strange coloured towels on your washing line, but you can get some very good quality towels for very low prices .. better than the threadbare cast offs friends seem to think you will find useful for the hounds!

I go to our local Choice shop usually stock 'next' items towels are a lot cheaper and good quality.

Asda sell hand towels for about 70p for the hand ones, and the bath ones arnt that much more. i get the white ones and after i have used them put them on a boil wash and they come out great.

We went into Asda a couple of months back to get towels for whelping, usually use the Smart Price ones, but on that day they had Egyptian white cotton towels down to 49p so bought 12, when I got them home and washed them they were lovely and way too thick for whelping, so kept those and went back for the cheaper ones for the dogs, they always wash up great and any green staining washes out no problem.

Plus it helps I work for Asda so get staff discount too....:-)
