not sure but i picked 1 up from pets at home called "THE WHELPING and REARING OF PUPPIES by muriel p. lee ,and ive found it good ,it was £13.95 .
isnt J.M. EVANS who wrote book of the bitch ? x

yeah, apparently wrote this too, thats why thought it might be good... ordered one off amazon, was a fiver so couldnt say no really lol. can always flog it online if its no good lol

Have got the book Breeding a litter it is good more up to date easier to understand well for me anyway.

oooh great... due to arrive anytime before 1 tomorrow.... i love parcels through the post... i always get excited lol, like someone is surprising me with gifts, not me thats ordered it!!!

Funnily enough I ordered that book yesterday, it was £5.49 delivered from a company called  Aphrohead.com so when it arrives I'll let you know also what I think of it.

its just arrived, had a quick look through it and it looks fab, ideal to have on hand, it also came with a dvd so will be watching that over the weekend xx

So how does it compare to the book of the bitch chapters?

the first book mentioned is very similar to BOTB, but seems to be more up to date. easier to read for emergencies, a lot of things seem to be bullet pointed rather than paragraphed as in BOTB. good to have as an extra, but not as a substitute. for sake of a fiver cant really go wrong ;-)

I've ordered the "Puppy Intesnsive Care and the care of new born puppies"one from the amazon link posted. Amazon let's you search through a few pages and it seems to cover all the "what ifs" which would be great for me. It seems to have a bigger focus on when things go wrong which I guess is when we need to know more.
I paid £10 and it also had a dvd.
