hiya i am looking for some help at lka on the 13th dec,my niece is 15 and is looking for a dog to compete in the junior handling class 12-16 yrs as her usual charge who she is entered with is a catalan sheep dog and the classes look like they are going to clash,as judgeing starts at 8.30 for the juniors, she is a very competent handler and has been handling in breed classes since she was 6yrs old,she is very gentle and kind with young pups and older dogs she has never handled before, she has shown alot of different breeds, but would prefare, japanese shiba inu, akita, any breed from utility group really ,stacked or free standing is fine, must have a steady happy temprement, she has her own website that can be passed on to see some of her successes in handling classes, also references for owners of some the dogs she has handled forwarded on.so if any of the kind cders can help you will have my eternal thanks lisa

Do you go to ringcraft? Only thought that people would be more willing if they knew your neice. I can't help as I'm not going, but I'll ask my TT friends & see if they are going. Very frustrating for your neice, my dd has been out of the ring since Richmond as the dog she shows is having pups so I know what it's like.

Is there anyone in your group that you know will be there and would loan her a dog.  My DD wasn't able to take her dog to Richmond but she had one or two offers from others in the breed who offered their dogs to her.  Also had offers from within the ringcraft to help her possibly..

Only downside was not having much time to get to know the dog and then the class took so long to judge (41 entries) she couldn't quite keep her attention when mum was outside the ring

hi most of our members  at our ring craft show gundog breeds and there on the day before ours, and we also have a full  car that day as takeing my 2 shibas so couldnt take another dog,and my shibas are entered with my sons in the younger age groups,i think it is alot to ask for the dogs to do 2 long handleing classes and then the breed, thanks for your replys

Doesn't the dog have to be entered in the breed class in order for a JH to show it?  It will have to be a dog there on the day, hence me saying about TTs.

yes the dog has to be entered in there breed class  thats why i thought i would ask on champ dogs to see if any folk would loan a dog for her to compete in handling class,if they were at the show on the 13th,thanks any way maddog,we have our fingers crossed the classes for the catalan sheep dogs [import reg ]dont clash as i know there is a large handling class for her age group
