Do you go for the "pretty" or "practical" present?  I'm not a jewellery or perfume type, (got them but never wear) & I buy any clothes I need during the year. In the days when we used to entertain/feed 25 people from both families on Christmas or Boxing Day I was really grateful to get a dishwasher as a present! Some of my friends were outraged but it was that or paper plates.  This year I've changed -  I secretly hanker after the Beatles boxed set (will have to wait for price to reduce though).

Diamonds or a private numberplate - neither of which I'm getting.  :(

On an unrealistic level - Josh Holloway (Sawyer from Lost)!  :)

I would like the impossible - good health.  My second choice is the Star Trek XI DVD  :-)

I couldn't think what I wanted this year, but I am a sucker for coats and I've seen the most lovely jacket ever, I think my dad is going to get me that. I had a tumble dryer for my 23rd birthday, very boring but a lifesaver where I live now!

I would like Wentworth Miller please :)
- By Whistler [gb] Date 23.11.09 10:56 UTC
Im on a diet and its going well so I asked my OH for nighties that he would like to see me in. (but gave him my size anyway) and hard bottom slippers. We leave the back door open for our dogs and Im getting cold feet, so nice slipper but with hard bottoms, so I can put the washing out without changing into outdoor stuff.

I could do either pretty or practical, but this year I really want things to start up a new house on my own.  Like dishes, or pans, etc.
- By Gemini05 Date 23.11.09 17:09 UTC
mine are always practical, i dont wear makeup or ear rings etc ! So this year i would like a Great Dane! :) i like boots, so maybe i have more chance of getting them then my dane pup :( sob sob

Dog blaster - though think i may treat myself to that at LKA, if the price is right..

Umm a new home would be good - don;t think i'll get that..

Need new boots, Uggs, Aigels(sp), leather..

So nothing cheap or small then.. Which proves somewhat of a problem..

I always say to mum and dad all I want is a turkey, cranberry sauce, veg's. all the trimmings etc. and for us all to be together.  Can't care less about anything else.

Would like to win the lottery and find a nice, tall, dark handsome man as well though LOL!

This year i havent got much to buy.
OH & i arent giving each other presents - we are poring every penny into doing up the house.
My best friend and I have decided to go to london for a show and christmas shopping as our presents to each other
Sister has said not to buy for her and her chap as they have 4 children so will just be buying kids stuff.
As for me, i just want money/vouchers to put towards 'house things' or things for the house e.g ornaments/vases etc

Yep me too and he buys me anything I want all year round, so there's nothing I want except for my Cavaliers to continue passing their health tests and to live long and happy lives.
