Hi,

I have my first show with my french bulldog on saturday she will turn 6 months tomorrow, The thing is when her mouth is closed i can still see the white of her teeth, I am wondering how big a fault this is, as i know in the breed standard, it say both lips meeting with no teeth showing?? I am wondering whether it is worth driving the hour and a half to my open show if its a big fault?  Its not the end of the world as we love her so so much anyway, can anyone advise me??

Many Thanks

Angela.

It does depend on the judge, as with our breed (bullmastiff) most have a slightly overshot/ undershot jaw, Iv seen one dog where its quite bad sometimes it wins very good places other times its chucked out of the ring.

It might be worth to look through google for the judge and see what they have placed in the past, just give it a go as an hour and a half is not that far we average just over 2 hours for nearly all our shows apart from this weekend where its only 15 minutes. yay :)

Has her breeder seen her recently to give her opinion?  I'd still go to the show though.  Good luck :)
