I once saw a dog that looked like a golden retriever, but it was pure white. I am looking to find that breed. The owner said it wasnt a golden, however your picture of your dog is quite white. As far as I know, and I'm talking from the UK, the only gundog that is all/most white is the Clumber but could not be thought to be a Goldie. I think it may have been a Hungarian Kuvasz or the Pyrenean Mountain Dog, there is also the Maremma Sheepdog, they are all from the working group. If you type the above names into a serch engine you should get more detail and pics. Ja:)kie

I have Maremma sheepdogs and people are always asking me if they are white retrievers.
Could it have been a Maremma? Where did you see the dog?

The Goldie rescue use the same kennels as us and I have seen them almost white same in Labs they are getting paler and paler

We had a litter of goldens in the summer, all pale cream but one who was white, he may darken later but at the last update from his new owners, he is still white.
