I have bought a dress for my works christmas chocolate ball on the 4th December.. (see link)

http://www.asos.com/Asos/Asos-Chiffon-Corsage-Draped-Dress/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=848372&SearchQuery=corsage%20dress&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=20&sort=-1&clr=BlackNude

My question is, what type of necklace would you wear with this and how would you have your hair? (Would prefer up and different, or would curled look ok? as i always wear my hair down and straight for work (as its naturally straight))

HELP please!! :-D

That is one lovely dress. As for your hair I would put it up to give you a graceful neckline down to the dress. Definately curl it first and have some wispy tendrils here and there. You'll look fab :)

That is a gorgeous dress, very funky but classy.  I'd say have your hair up, curled with a few bits down & around your face to soften the style.  I'd personally go for a choker style black necklace & a matching cuff.

Maybe something like this Black cuff & Necklace

As it is such a 60s/70s style mini (love it) - why not a 60s/70s hairdo?   I used to bring my hair into two ponytails - one above the other.   Take the hair from the bottom ponytail, gently backcomb and pin under, so it finishes on hairline.   Take one strand of hair from the top ponytail, wind around band to hide it, gently backcomb remainder of top ponytail and pin underfinishing at the top of second ponytail.  Pull out a couple of strand above ears, curl into ringlets - and voila!

Hope that makes sense :)

Can't find any photos that I could post quickly (anyway - no photos on CD:) ) but if you look here

http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://www.updoprincess.com/images/hairstyle-1960%27s-audrey-hepburn.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.updoprincess.com/1960s_hairstyles.html&usg=__HQYuPigbO6Mx_rit88YyBV7wtPM=&h=396&w=501&sz=45&hl=en&start=5&um=1&tbnid=9P0VE6CTIZ9h4M:&tbnh=103&tbnw=130&prev=/images%3Fq%3D60s%2Bhairdos%26hl%3Den%26rlz%3D1T4RNWE_enGB328GB328%26sa%3DX%26um%3D1

You'll get the general idea!

I did it so often I could do it quickly, using two elastic bands and half a dozen kirbi-grips - not hairpins  - and of course, about a gallon of hairspray :-) !

I had visualised that style from your description AND I could also visualise you doing it quick as flash they way you wrote it out like a regular good old recipe :-)

Looks lovely really, love that sort of style, it would go well with the dress me thinks !!!

Not being funny but if your slim enough for this dress you dont need a necklace the dress is perfect without.
If you are short Hair up and if you are tall let it hang, I envy you that dress is a dream!

Hi love these threads,

I agree, u dont need a necklace with this dress, maybe a silver n black bracelet,  the cuff from accessorize is perfect, or fashion ring like the model.

Hair definately down, curls maybe something like this

or

try some ghd loosed curls.

Love the dress, you will look fab.

I wouldn't go for a necklace with that dress either. The dress is a real statement in itself and you run the risk of losing it's impact with jewellery.

A swipe of bronzer (or just higlighter, if you don't like the bronzed look) across the collar bone and a pair of killer heels is all that dress needs as accessories.

I like margot's suggestion for hairstyle as well :-)

I was kinda thinking hair like that in like a bun type thing, did that last year and might try again this year, took me ages though haha, hard doing it yourself!! LOL

Might try hair curled too as i never have it curled, so need to find some curlers from somewhere!!

Thanks everyone!

I have ordered a necklace, but will see if it goes, if not i wont wear anything at al, as still not sure like you said if i need to wear a necklace with it... so will see! :-)
