I have a litter of bordeaux pups and have just noticed that one of them has very bad back legs, she is very cow hocked and they turn out at the top.i have to say that up until now i have been very proud of the way they are turning out, they have had the best of everything and i am now left woundering what to do with this pup.i am worried what the vet is going to say,is it a problem that is only going to get worse with age. i now large breeds can have problems with there back legs but i have never seen one so young and so bad.PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP

Hi Guest

It is not something we are likely to be able to help with not having seen the pup. See what your vet has to say as sometimes the dam can inadvertantly damage a pup whilst it is in the nest and this only becomes apparent once they are up on their feet and start to move around

you should take your pup to the vet & get his opinion. You are not obliged to take his advice & can always seek a second opinion, but that should be your 1st port of call.

Have a word with some other owners in the breed also, they might be able to help. Hope it all turns out ok in the end.
