Well I didnt last long till my next question LOL!
As in my previuos post Im not sure if my bitch is pregnant and have started listening for heartbeats. She is on day 46 so I know it may be too early to hear them but could they sound like a faint vibration as thats what I can hear high up in her ribs. She is nice and calm and I have found that I can hear it better when she is laid on her back and I place the stethoscope high on her ribs. There is also a lot of gushing sounds.
Thanks (Im starting to get on my own nerves now!!)
LOL ....i was the same :) ...so she may be 7weeks now ,keep tring and over the next few days you may hear them ...i dont remember the sound like a faint vibration ,i do remeber all the gushing sounds tho :) but thats nothing to do with being in whelp ;) ....got my fingers crossed for you x

Think of little watches - that's what they sound like ;) Very faint at first, and depending on how the pup is lying, you can hear it and then when they turn over not hear it. The gushing sounds are likely to be mum's heartbeat, or her digestive system if it's more 'gurgly' ;)
Try listening to your own heartbeat, your lungs and your own stomach, then you'll be able to identify the sounds that aren't pups ;)
Thanks.
I keep thinking I can hear one every now and then but it is very faint. She is sooo good, whenever I get the stethoscope now she roles over on her back as if to say.......... 'go on then' and just lies there, bless.
Will keep trying. Do you think its a bit early?
xx
