Had my bitch scanned today with no pups showing but having all the signs of pregnacy.  Just read on the forum that one was sccanned with a full bladder, mine had to be emptied.  Does this make a difference.  Also found posts that scan can be wrong so not sure whether to treat as a phantom or not.

thanks for any advice given.

I had my bitch scanned at 28 days was told not to let her have a wee, dont know if its the same, but in humans u need a full bladder when going for a scan.Im just playing the waiting game now she is due tomorrow.
Good luck

Thanks, i thought a full bladder would have been useful.  I have a feeling it will be a waiting game.

The lady who scans for me prefers them to have empty bladders as having a full one will not give her a clear view and can hide some puppies.  She is very experienced and accurate.  I recently took a bitch of mine - who had emptied her bladder before we left home but was quite full again when we got to her house - she was unable to give me a definite number due to this but confirmed she was in whelp.
