Hi,

Is a normal adult complete food okay for a stud dog who is used fairly regularly or should he be on a premium complete?

Many Thanks

Depends what you mean as regularly and what you mean by normal or premium.

I certainly woudl ahve a fit adult dog on a decent food containign a decnet level of meat as it's main protein source and of around 25-26% protein and good levels of fatty acids.

Hi, Sorry, I mean a basic adult complete or a premium working type food?

Again what I call a basic food others call premium.

Even my oldies get what some call premium food.

Hi,

Take Arden grange for example. Should he be on the prestige for working dogs - it has more vitamins, minerals etc or is a basic adult type okay. Should he be on a food with more vitamins and minerals?

If he isn't doing work or more exercise than would be considered usual and is in good body condition then the adult would be fine unless he's getting a bitch a week  ;)

Bit like your average human could manage matrimonial duties, maybe a p*rn star might need a bit more ;)
