I have sent off my form for an affix today, does anyone know how long it takes for me to be informed that i can have my chosen name??

Mine was accepted within about 2 weeks.

LOL I thought the question was how long as in how many letters.

Best to go for a short affix as then you have more scope with the latter part of the name. if your affix is already a long one then you have fewer letters left fort the rest.

Mine was accepted with in two weeks too but remember it has to go in the paper/mag cant remember which so if someone who sees it disagrees it can be stopped and it wont be the name you got

I remember that mine was quite fast.  I received a letter in an April one year, but it did advise that although provisionally accepted, not to have anything printed up with the affix on. 

I seem to recall that it was around July before I knew that nobody had objected.  I'm sure that someone will be along and correct me if that's incorrect.
