Trying to find some info tonight and using my laptop have been using my trusty firefox and google - except once I've found what I want and clicked on it - actual websites - I then get hijacked by various search engines which produce the information Google has already given me

getting really fed up with this but what's happening and why?  it's never happened before

how do I stop this???

Sorry your having problems. Have you ran an antivirus check

Avast apparently found a virus - so that's dealt with, and had to download Adaware and Spybot from my 'BIG' computer as couldn't download from the net, couldn't do anything but follow the info-touts :( :(

It was like being forced into Burger King when you've arrived at the door of a favourite restaurant :( :(

So you got a burger instead of steak. Dill if your looking for a free Adaware, Lavasoft is the one I use.

seems to be working ok - just searched this site and got it :-D

Phew!

but after Avast found the virus and got rid of it - it stopped working!    I'm trying to repair it now but my have to remove it and start again :(
