> Vanhalla - top marks for entering your Mum!

I wet myself laughing at that!! (ooooh Ness!)
  Also Lilacababe's children!

It's going to be such a toughie this year I think, there are so many simply stunning pics up already! I'm really hoping that even if folk don't enter they have a look (especially the show world detractors) because I have to say Its just fabulous to see zooming Papillions and Racing Basenji's.... I don't think I'd get the chance to see things like that other than on here, so I'm really, really enjoying seeing all the photos folk are putting up :-D

Thanks everyone keep up the good work!! Definitely CHAMPDOGS.....

- By chelzeagirl [gb] Date 01.10.09 20:03 UTC
thank you x, he has always taken a really good picture that pic was taken on my old motorola raza phone not a fancy camara i was laying on the grass in the park next to him and just snapped the shot as he layed their, he is a right poser and always takes a good picture, he's a soppy thing,
he upset my 11 year old tonight whos Autistic and hates losing any kind of games and he was playing a hide and seek game with the ball my son was closing Zeus in the front room while he hid the ball and then he sent Zeus to try to find it Zeus found it everytime lol, even when my son put it inside the plastic shed in the garden zeus had a sniff around and then started barking at the shed i couldnt help but have a giggle at how good he was at finding the ball and he loved it although my son got a bit upset saying the dogs smarter than him opps lol, some chocolate cake and custard for afters soon had him smiling again lol,
- By suejaw Date 02.10.09 10:00 UTC
Maybe something to work on if he has great tracking skills? Search and rescue?
- By chelzeagirl [gb] Date 02.10.09 10:15 UTC
yes i do feel he is a bit wasted on me realy and could do greater things he's a very smart boy but he is just a pet to us, but he does love it so much how would i go about doing anything like this with him?
- By suejaw Date 02.10.09 10:19 UTC
Sussex search and rescue are sometimes looking for dogs - they normally meet for training in Ashdown Forest.
I would of thought that Surrey and Kent would have one too. It would mean googling and seeing what you can locate and contacting them.
Another thing, i know he's not a gundog, but gundog training maybe something if he is a great retriever of things, depends on how steady he is around countryside wildlife
- By AliceC Date 02.10.09 12:54 UTC
I LOVE the funshow - and I went a bit mad commenting on pics the other day!!

Thank you so much Liv, I have so enjoyed looking at everyone's beautiful dogs (and Mums, Cats, Rats etc)

- By Vanhalla [gb] Date 02.10.09 12:57 UTC
That's my Mum!  She's stunning too! (Or stunned, one of the two) :-)
- By Tracey123 [gb] Date 02.10.09 19:54 UTC
If you need any judges HG I'd be happy. I dont have any dogs so wouldnt be entering and I dont have any 'friends' on champdogs so no favouritism there. Let me know :-)

We did something similar on a horse forum I was in and we charged 30p per class. All the profit went to charity and we even had rosettes up to 4th place with the winner getting a numnah! Great fun!!!
- By ceejay Date 03.10.09 17:17 UTC
Still haven't had time to put photos on here - but just to bump it up to the top again in case there are still folks who haven't seen it or to remind folks like myself who keep meaning to do it WHEN I get the time.
- By rachie [gb] Date 05.10.09 20:45 UTC
Aww! how cool hes good at taking pics and finding his ball lol! How old is he? and what other dogs do u have? x
- By HuskyGal Date 05.10.09 21:08 UTC

> If you need any judges HG I'd be happy

Class winners are decided by all members voting :-) Nearer the time we will post a poll for everyone to votes easily.

When will voting start???
Please see topic on Funshow site under News (It's up for discussion!!)

his 4 years old now i have 2 EBT's also,
my poor Zeus had to have stitched in his leg today he went and run thu a patch of grass on the local green that this nut case who lives on the ground floor has decided to dig up and plant whatever he likes and the guys put barbed wire around these poles he's dug into the ground and my poor lad went running right into it,
iv complained to the council today while zeus was in vets as the grass area is for everyone to use and the guy should not be doing it,
the council were really rude about it they said the guys been warned to put the grass back the way it was but now he's stating that its a green space outside his back window and he is living off the land by planting his own veg their ,

im putting it in writing now and will be sending my vets bill to the council ,
its a blooming cheek, i have taken photos of his leg before he had it stitched it , and a photo of what the guys put up over their,
kid play on that grass also so its really not good at all,

sorry have to say that the guys one of these who go on those echo marches all environmentally friendly and so on , yet he's puttin up wire that can hurt animals going thu their we get alot of fox's round here not so bothered abot hurting them either is he , i thought these people were against things like this seems only when it suits them,

Just been on the fun show website to upload and half the albums are missing? I was sure there was one already for funniest dog and dog in action when I looked the other day but just now only prettiest bitch and best friends were showing up. Is it just me being a noodle?!
- By HuskyGal Date 06.10.09 17:05 UTC
I've just had a look and they are all there :-)
Maybe just a busy traffic time for your service provider? (or the site) and is taking time to load. Have some Tea and chocolate and try again in 5 :-D
- By Pookin [gb] Date 06.10.09 17:38 UTC
It's working for me now, rural internet is not so good. Somehow managed to delete my user name and info off my little dog in 'Dogs in Action' picture and don't know how to put it back :S
I shouldn't be allowed a computer :)
- By HuskyGal Date 06.10.09 17:43 UTC Edited 06.10.09 17:50 UTC
Don't worry I'll take a look at it now and put your details back on :-)

edited to add: Just had a look and fear not your details are all there on the photo (you hadn't deleted them)
I have to confess to having a wee giggle tho' there is a very funny Eddie Izzard sketch your post made me think of...
"oh nooooo!! I've deleted the Internet!! :-D
- By Pookin [gb] Date 07.10.09 19:26 UTC
That was good :)

My boyfriends mum thought she'd broken the computer when she 'lost' the mouse pointer!

> Are photos copied from the internet permitted?

Jules go for your life! Entries close at midnight so hurry up!

(I've been at it for 4 hours this morning loading everyone up into a poll for voting, its taken for evvvver!! I swear to Dog, this is the last year I'm doing this!!!! :-D )
- By ShaynLola Date 08.11.09 15:39 UTC
I've posted my pics this morning :-)

I noticed that a photo has been posted by someone that has been taken from the internet (it's been doing the rounds on email for years) - it isn't their dog and I'm pretty sure they didn't take the photo - I was wondering if that's permitted?
- By HuskyGal Date 08.11.09 16:09 UTC
Aaah! I see where you're coming from now.
Well, We have always run the funshow on a honesty basis. Members upload 'their' photos (one would hope) and the criteria asks for Members username and 'name of dog' as the 'ethos' was that this was a funshow for member's dogs. The funshow started in the days before we had avatars on the forum, so it was a nice way, as much as anything, for us all to see each others dogs.
In fairness I did not stipulate on the Funshow site that Members could only enter their own dog(s) thinking that this 'ethos' would be obvious. So if someone has inadvertently uploaded a photo that is not theirs it may have been an easy mistake-a to make-a!
Who ever has posted a photo that is not theirs may want to consider wether indeed they have permission to use? If they have then no problem.
But it isn't really 'in the spirit' of things :-)

Sorry HG just added a couple to rainbow bridge.  Thanks for all your hard work - this new site is great but I can see it is a huge task for one person.
